01 // The State

Aura Financial was a rapidly growing wealth management firm managing over $500M in assets, but their digital presence was stuck in the late 90s.

When they came to us, they were losing high-net-worth millennial clients to sleeker fintech startups. Their legacy portal was a chaotic mess of raw data tables, unoptimized PDFs, and a user interface that required a 40-page manual just to check a daily balance. They were bleeding user trust simply because their platform looked cheap and felt broken.

02 // The Action
Phase 01

We completely tore down their legacy infrastructure.

Phase 02

Instead of patching their old system, we proposed a radical shift: wealth management shouldn't feel like an accounting chore; it should feel like a premium, luxury experience.

Phase 03

We initiated a comprehensive 4-month overhaul spanning brand identity, UX architecture, and a total front-end rewrite, effectively turning their data into a highly visual, emotional experience.

03 // Upgrades

We migrated their monolithic, server-rendered legacy app to a decoupled microservices architecture.

The new frontend, built on Next.js, interfaces with a highly secured GraphQL layer that aggregates data from Plaid and their internal databases in real-time.

We implemented WebWorkers to handle the heavy mathematical calculations of portfolio forecasting off the main thread, ensuring the application remains blazing fast even when crunching thousands of data points simultaneously.

Visually, we abandoned traditional data tables entirely. We engineered a bespoke WebGL rendering engine using Three.js to visualize portfolio performance as living, breathing 3D ecosystems. Every interaction is now mapped to a micro-animation, ensuring that navigating complex tax structures feels as fluid as browsing a high-end fashion editorial. We paired this with a stark, brutalist typographic system to maintain absolute financial authority while utilizing deep blue accents (#4A90E2) to instill trust.

04 // The Result

The transformation was monumental. Within 30 days of launch, Aura saw a 450% increase in daily active user retention. Clients were no longer just logging in to check balances; they were engaging with the platform's forecasting tools for an average of 12 minutes per session. More importantly, the new premium feel directly contributed to Aura securing an additional $2M in assets under management in the first quarter post-launch.
