01 // The State

Nexus Labs was preparing to launch a massive decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol.

The problem? They looked exactly like every other Web3 project on the market: dark mode, neon pink accents, and confusing cyber-punk graphics. Institutional investors were hesitant to commit massive liquidity because the brand simply didn't exude the trust and authority required for a billion-dollar financial protocol.

Phase 01

We forced a complete pivot.

Phase 02

We advised them to abandon the typical crypto aesthetic entirely.

Phase 03

If they wanted institutional money, they needed to look like a high-end, futuristic Swiss bank.

Phase 04

We initiated a rapid 2-month sprint to completely overhaul their brand identity, 3D assets, and marketing website right before their mainnet launch.

03 // Upgrades

To ensure the site loaded instantly worldwide—a critical factor for crypto launches where thousands of users hit the site the exact second a token goes live—we built the platform using statically generated Next.js.

We deployed on a global edge network, ensuring zero downtime and sub-second load times even under massive DDOS-level traffic spikes.

Visually, we utilized a stark, bright, editorial layout. We relied heavily on strict grid systems and grotesque typography to signal mathematical precision. To break the rigidity and add a sense of modern technology, we modeled organic, glass-like 3D primitive shapes in Cinema4D. These shapes were pre-rendered into high-res sequences and tied to the user's scroll via Framer Motion, creating a mesmerizing, fluid background that symbolized the transparency of their protocol.

04 // The Result

The rebrand and flawless site performance positioned Nexus Protocol as the premium choice in the market. On launch day, the site handled 1.5 million unique visits with zero downtime. The authoritative design instilled immediate trust, resulting in a staggering $200M in Total Value Locked (TVL) flowing into the protocol within the first week of launch.
